What kind of marketing & growth support are you after?

Pick the job closest to what you want more of, from social posts and Google Ads to SEO and email. Not sure where to start? Tell us your goal and we'll point you to the right marketer.

Not sure? Start with what you're trying to do.

Most people come to us with a goal, not a job title. Here's where the most common ones usually land.

  • “We're doing a bit of everything and don't know what's working.”

A marketing strategy review looks at where your customers come from and tells you what to stop, keep and start.

    Marketing Strategy
  • “Nobody finds us on Google.”

An SEO specialist fixes what's holding your website back and helps you show up for the searches your customers make.

    SEO
  • “Our social media has gone quiet.”

A social media marketer can plan your posts, create them and keep your pages active so you can get on with the business.

Questions about hiring a marketer

Straight answers to what NZ business owners ask us most.

How much does a freelance marketer cost in New Zealand?

A focused marketing job like a social media plan usually costs NZ$700–$1,500, an SEO audit with quick fixes NZ$800–$3,500, and ongoing ad management NZ$600–$2,500 per month, excluding GST. Marketers quote after reading your brief. The number of channels and whether the work is one-off or ongoing move the price most.

Should I hire a freelancer or a marketing agency?

A freelancer suits most small businesses because you work directly with the person doing the work, usually for less. An agency makes sense when you need strategy, creative, ads and reporting managed as one team.

I don't have a brief. Can I still start?

Yes. Most people don't have one. Tell us what you're trying to achieve and we'll turn it into a brief with you before anything goes out to marketers.

Is ad spend included in the price?

No. Ad spend is paid to Google, Meta or LinkedIn separately from the marketer's fee. Ask for your ad accounts to be set up in your business's name with your card, so you keep control and history if you change marketers.

Who owns the ad accounts and content?

You should. Ad accounts, analytics, social pages and email lists should belong to your business, with your marketer given access. Agree who owns written and design content in the brief before work starts.

Do I pay GST?

Only if your freelancer is GST-registered. Registered marketers add 15% GST to their quote, while many sole traders earning under NZ$60,000 a year aren't registered and won't charge it.

How long does it take to find someone?

We aim to start sharing interested marketers within a few working days of agreeing your brief. When work starts depends on their availability and your timing.
