Commemorative T-shirt Design for Otago Polytechnic Rebrand

The project

Project overview

‘Ka mua, ka muri’ is a whakataukī (Māori proverb) that translates to ‘walking backwards into the future’.

The objective of the t-shirt was for staff to wear it and embrace the notion that change has always taken place at Otago Polytechnic. The brand has been evolving since 1966 and the rebrand to Te Pūkenga is another step in the journey.

I positioned the logos vertically in a chronological timeline on the back of the t-shirt to support the Māori proverb on the front.
