Interpretive Signage Design for Kapiti Coast Cycleway

The project

Project overview

A collection of signage designed to educate the public on the historical and cultural significance of areas along the Mackays to Peka Peka cycleway, walkway and bridleway on the Kapiti Coast. The large signage was constructed of laser-engraved wooden panels with an ACM printed panel attached, and is designed to complement the surrounding habitat. The smaller signage highlights botanical features of the area and consists of a printed ACM panel mounted on timber. The maori design element was completed by Rangi Kipa.

Short-listed for national awards in 2019.

Client feedback

Helcia has an excellent and rare eye for translating concepts into reality in 2d and 3d. Her work is beautifully organised and we can always rely on her to organise design projects from concept to finished product, including prototyping and manufacturing. The challenges designing for an outdoor experience at M2PP were easily met by Helcia and her skill and expertise is recognised in the final product being short-listed for national awards in 2019.
