About this project
All councils in New Zealand are required to produce an annual plan. In early 2023 I was asked by communications staff at Hutt City Council to proofread the council's draft annual plan for 2023–2024, along with the supporting documents.
The plan would be released to the public for consultation, so it was important that it was free of mistakes and able to be read by the general public.
I proofread the plan for errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar. I also flagged anything that needed further attention from council staff.
The council had a specific deadline to submit the plan, so the proofread had to be completed as quickly as possible.
