Malte Warncke

After more than a decade working as a freelancer in Germany, I decided to take a leap and relocate to New Zealand, where I have since secured my residency.

I am a highly proficient frontend developer with a strong passion for performance optimisation and

exploring new technologies. While I specialise in TypeScript, React, and Angular, I also bring extensive experience in Python and full-stack development. My contributions extend beyond writing code. I stay invested in every aspect of a project and actively support my team's success.

My colleagues value my strong work ethic, clear communication, and collaborative approach. I'm a natural leader who motivates teams to achieve outstanding results, and while I'm confident in my abilities, I remain equally open to new ideas and constructive feedback.

Although I’ve spent most of my career working as a contractor, I often grew into a key role within the projects I worked on. Over the last few years, I increasingly took on the role of Lead Developer. My expertise allowed me to advise clients on issues that went well beyond development, and I frequently helped steer projects in directions that made them more successful and efficient.

With extensive experience in agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, I integrate seamlessly into existing teams and workflows. I have been successfully using AI in my development work for the past two years, across a wide range of use cases and levels of complexity. I make use of AI wherever it can add value, while also keeping a close eye on efficiency and AI-related costs.
