Lake Wānaka Tourism: NZ Mountain Film Festival web story

To coincide with the launch of the 2023 NZ Mountain Film Festival, Lake Wānaka Tourism wanted a story for their website that recounted the history of the festival. The brief was to convey a feeling of connection to the people, the place and the environment, within a relatively short word count.
Beyond that, I was given free reign to take the piece wherever the mood took me and, with just a little background reading, I completed this quickly, autonomously and with no edits required from the client. To be fair, it was a lovely subject about which to write - my only concern was whether I could truly do it justice!
