Elevating a Parenting Media Brand: A Modern Refresh for Nook NZ

The Background: Nook NZ is a go-to digital guide and resource hub for New Zealand parents. As a community-focused platform, it provides essential advice, local insights, and support for families navigating the highs and lows of parenthood.

The Challenge: Founder Lexi Davey felt the brand had outgrown its "local platform" aesthetic. She needed to transition Nook into a professional media brand that could compete on a larger scale. The challenge was to modernise the visual identity by elevating it to look more sophisticated and "current" without losing the signature warmth and relatability that her audience loves.

The Solution: I gave the Nook brand a fresh new look:

  •   Logo Refinement: Streamlining the existing logo for better legibility across digital and print.

    

  •   Visual Identity: Modernising the colour palette and typography to create a "confident yet approachable" vibe.

    

  •   Social Media Kit: Designing a suite of custom Instagram templates that allow Lexi to post fresh, engaging content with ease and consistency.

    

The Results: The outcome is a cohesive and "grown-up" brand presence. Nook now presents as a polished media entity, providing Lexi with the visual confidence to scale her platform while maintaining a deep, authentic connection with her parenting community.
