Rotoiti Concrete bathtub design

Aesthetically detailed with minimal curvature the project was to design and develop a repeatable manufacturing method for a freestanding concrete bathtub.

The shape was developed using Fusion 360 following a deep dive into fiberglass production methods. Working with Raw Concrete Design to help with the ins and outs of concrete materiality we were able to go from concept to production seamlessly.

Minimal in appearance, the design required attention to detail to ensure correct volumes were used. Utilizing asymmetric fillets and compound curvature allowed me to get the correct shape profiles and seamless surfaces including the offset detail on one end.
