A bit about me: I graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2020, gaining a BCOM/LLB majoring in Marketing and Law with a focus on digital and retail marketing, and a minor in Media and Management. I have been admitted to the bar and am a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand (non-practising).
FMCG: For two years, I worked in-house within product development, marketing and lastly as head of regulatory and compliance at New Zealand's FMCG powerhouse ZURU Edge. My experience here includes copy creation and competitor brand research, product supplier negotiations and global regulatory and compliance overseeing, management and execution.
I also have experience as a copywriter and brand developer for an up-and-coming, alcohol-related brand, for which I am happy to provide a case study and reference information.
Writing (legal and general): Outside of the FMCG arena, I have three years of legal clerking experience for Russell McVeagh and in-house with Clifton Chambers in Wellington. During this time, I began ghostwriting, assisting in editing and finally having a few published articles for the Māori Law Review. I also assisted in course creation (research, lesson creation and writing) for one of Maritime New Zealand's consultancy companies, Atākura for budding ship captains getting certification.
I have experience writing policy documents for businesses with up-coming public sales, including Junk Run NZ and with specific ZURU Brands such as Haven Baby,
Marketing: During my time at uni, I worked as a marketing executive, helping to oversee and manage a diverse social media portfolio for an international children's swimwear brand. This included EDM creation and execution, Instagram management, customer service bot engineering and google Adword management. I have also worked as the marketing exec for Flagstaff Gallery, helping to create events such as Art in The Park and selling New Zealand art to clients around the world.
I have a serious passion for the arts and all creative outlets. I have over 15 years of industry experience within the television and screen industry, working on set, and in front of the camera for several adverts, television shows, and feature films. I have performed numerous voice-over roles and would also be happy to contribute to your business with any of these skills.
Lastly, I work as a producer for film and tc, and within the music industry for live performances and music videos, so have a range of event-based skills/people management that are versatile for a number of situations.
I am a highly organised, communicative and hardworking individual who will ensure your brief is executed from start to finish.
I am proficient in all Microsoft programs, have experience with Google AdWords, Shopify, MailChimp and many customer service social media platforms (including customer service automated response programming).
