At Intuit QuickBooks I was their Marketing Automation Specialist and head Email Developer for the UK office. I was responsible for the complete customer life-cycle from design, development and deployment for all our promotional and transactional email campaigns and other channels such as SMS and push notifications. This role involved daily use of the Marketing Automation Platform Eloqua to setup stand-alone email campaigns, design complex automated programs, manage data segmentation, create dynamic content personalisation, and plan user journeys throughout the customer life-cycle.
I worked closely with my regional counterparts in Australia, Canada and our head Marketing Technology team in the US in order to further develop our marketing automation capabilities. Integrating and enhancing our technical capabilities was a large focus including building out automatic lead creation in Salesforce through Eloqua, incorporating lead nurture flows for our main lead segments and integrating 3rd party platforms such as Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey and GoToWebinar into our Martech stack.
The part of my role spent as the head Email Developer also allowed me to build a collaborative Github Repository and a comprehensive GULP email development workflow using Hugo static site generator to standardise development processes. This gave me valuable experience to raise my email development and design to extremely advanced levels while being able to share this functionality with other developers across the Intuit QuickBooks locations. Ensuring consistent design and faster development throughout the company.
