She holds a Bachelor of Communications in Public Relations & Expressive Arts from Wellington’s Massey University with a background that spans news journalism, marketing & media, event management & production and creative writing. Content and copywriting is her calling, with a core focus that is rare to find.
Tessa’s interests in the media industry are primarily concerned with providing value in a world that is obsessed with mass-produced content. She draws on her core values of sustainability and slow living to produce content that is meaningful, driven and has purpose. She aims to educate and transform with the power of the written word, while still retaining beauty and simplicity in the language.
Her work in the media and creative industries has been intrinsically intertwined with the fashion industry. Tessa’s love for creativity extends through self-expression and into fashion as just one representation of art. She has worked closely in event production, including New Zealand Fashion Week and producing shows for Trelise Cooper, Juliette Hogan, and Zambesi. Her work has also extended to the realms of styling and shoot assistance and producing a small-scale line of hand-knitted jumpers.
Outside of work, she thoroughly enjoys creating pottery, sunrises & sunsets with good company and a glass of red wine.
