James Hudson is a freelance Videographer from Whanganui

I started my career over 25 years ago as a film editor before moving to London and becoming a senior editor at Rushes, one of Europe's leading VFX and Post Production companies. I spent a couple of years editing major brand campaigns for the likes of Levis, Nike and Revlon before directing music videos for chart topping acts in London and the USA.
Moving to Sydney Australia I spent 10 years as a TV Commercials director working across Australia and Asia on campaigns for all major advertising agencies and their clients. Along the way I picked up a few awards and was selected for the prestigious Saatchi and Saatchi's Cannes New Directors Showcase.
A job offer brought me back to NZ and I became Executive Producer at Toybox a leading animation and film post production house in Auckland. After eight years it was back to Sydney for an Executive Producer role at Might Nice a leading animation studio in TV Commercials and Long Form animation. Wanting to get back to a more hands on role lead me to refresh my skills with courses in photography and I ventured out as a one man band filming and creating content for all types of brands from big to small. I'm hands on from camera to editing to drone pilot.
I returned from Sydney a couple of years ago and am based in Whanganui with my own NAS Server for fast connection and transfer of data with clients. I service the Whanganui, Palmerston North, Wellington and South Taranaki areas as part of my standard service but I am happy to travel anywhere as required.
