A Faster, Cleaner, and More Searchable Website for Stretchmaster Ceilings

Project Overview
Stretchmaster Ceilings specialises in high-end stretch ceiling and wall systems for architectural and commercial applications across New Zealand. I began working with them in 2024 to redesign their existing WordPress website, with the goal of improving speed, clarity, and usability.
The focus was to make it easier for architects, designers, and homeowners to explore their wide range of ceiling and wall solutions while strengthening their online presence through SEO. The new site also needed to support a large product catalogue and allow for smooth customer enquiries and call-back requests.
Challenges
The original website was slow, clunky, and overloaded with text. It relied on a long list of outdated plugins, which made it difficult to manage and negatively impacted performance. Product pages were disorganised, making it hard for visitors to find relevant solutions or brochures.
The goal of the redesign was to simplify. Reducing friction, improving load times, and creating a clear visual structure that highlighted StretchMaster’s products and expertise without overwhelming users.
Process
Using WordPress with Elementor Pro and WP Forms Pro, I completely restructured the site to prioritise clean design and intuitive navigation. Each product category was given its own page, with high-quality imagery, brochures, and clear enquiry options.
I also focused on technical SEO, optimising page titles, meta descriptions, headers, and internal linking to help target relevant industry keywords. The site was built to be mobile-responsive and easy for the client to update themselves, reducing long-term dependency on developer input.
Results
The new Stretchmaster website loads faster, looks more professional, and provides a far smoother user experience. Visitors can now easily browse the product catalogue, download brochures, and submit enquiries.
The Stretchmaster team has been pleased with the results. Not only is client satisfaction higher, but their internal team can now confidently make changes and add updates as needed. I continue to maintain the site, ensuring ongoing SEO optimisation and performance improvements.
