LoveQT: Purpose-Built Webflow Platform for Community Engagement

LoveQT lived inside queenstownnz.co.nz and was constrained by templates that didn’t suit its content or audience. The goal was a standalone site on loveqt.co.nz that clearly explains the mission, shows real work on the ground, and makes it simple for locals, partners, and supporters to get involved. Dense, PDF‑based information needed to be distilled into readable web content.
Approach
With multiple stakeholders, we moved quickly from Jobs‑to‑Be‑Done into a clean information architecture. We mapped core tasks by audience segment (locals and volunteers, business partners, funders, media) and built straightforward paths: understand the mission, explore projects, see impact, and take action.
Build
The site was developed in Webflow with a CMS tailored for the team to manage content without developer help, including:
- Initiatives / Projects
- Stories and updates
- Partners / supporters
- Resources and progress
We used reusable components for consistent design, set clear content models, and structured editor permissions so different team members can safely update their areas.
Outcome
- A focused site on its own domain that reflects the LoveQT brand and purpose.
- IA shaped by real user jobs, improving wayfinding and reducing friction.
- A flexible CMS that lets the team publish stories, and collect donations quickly.
What changed
From a constrained microsite to a purpose-built platform that is easy to navigate, easy to update, and built around what visitors come to do.
