Meet Gray Buchanan: Freelance Graphic Designer in Wellington

Kia ora, I'm Gray Buchanan, a brand identity and editorial design studio on the Kāpiti Coast.

I bring over 15 years of experience to every project, including a First Class Degree in Graphic Design, Gold at the D&AD Global Student Awards, and Senior Creative roles across the UK and Aotearoa. I work with purpose-led organisations, public sector clients, and ambitious businesses who want design that thinks as hard as it looks.

My approach is grounded in curiosity, craft and genuine collaboration, I'm just as interested in understanding your world as I am in solving your design problem. Whether that's a brand identity built to last or an annual report that people will actually read, I work to a high standard. Communication and clarity is woven into my process, so you always know what to expect.

When I'm not at my desk, I'm out exploring the beautiful Kāpiti Coast with my wife and two boys, or cheering on Liverpool FC.
