My client is seeking a contractor to build a Mailchimp API to prepare a campaign based on data from an SQL Server database.

If you are interested, please respond to this RFI by 12 noon, Friday November 3rd with the following information:

• Your availability to do this work according to the Project Timetable (or an alternative timetable if required)
• Describe your previous experience working with the Mailchimp API. (eg date of work, tasks undertaken, languages used)
• Your preferred language to build the API
• Any additional information you require in order to provide a quotation for this work

The API needs to achieve the following steps:

• Provide a user interface to the user where the CampaignID can be entered. The UI should provide some basic progress indication too.
• Login in to the Mailchimp account with API key
• Connect to SQL Server on the local machine
• Call a stored procedure to obtain a recordset of names and email addresses for the campaign. (eg EXEC dbo.GetCampaignAddressList @CampaignID = 12345)
• Load any new email addresses to the master contact list in Mailchimp
• Create a segment or tag group for the campaign
• Call an SQL stored procedure to obtain the HTML for the campaign email. (eg EXEC dbo.GetCampaignHTML @CampaignID = 12345, @HTML = @HTML OUT)
• Create the campaign from the email template in Mailchimp
  Insert the HTML into the template
• Attach the email address list segment/tag group
• Send a test email

Notes:

• The copywrite for the API will belong to my client.
• Full source code to be supplied when requested during and at completion of the project.
• Following the RFI, a short-list of 2 (or 3) contractors will then be contacted to provide a quotation for this work.
