Melanie Watson is a Writer from Auckland
I am an experienced writer and communicator across a range of mediums and formats. I have over 6 years experience working in a senior role for a large PR agency in Sydney, where I helped to create, manage and deliver campaigns for a number of high-profile brands. Since moving home to New Zealand, I've been a full-time Mum to my two young children. In my spare time I've created and run a successful blog and worked pro bono for important community organisations such as Plunket and Maternal Care Action Group. I'm also in the final stages of completing my first non-fiction book.
I'm organised, friendly, reliable and capable. I've got a keen eye for design and impeccable attention to detail. I'm a stickler for grammar, clever wording and spelling, and was the 'go to' person in my PR office for proofreading. I also love playing with colour, layout, patterns and placement with everything from event styling to Pinterest pins to interior design - and have experience and qualifications across all these areas as well.
Now that both of my children are in school, I'd love to use my extra time in partnership with companies and people that need my expertise. I work best from my home office but can also work in-house during school hours if that's required.
