Project Description:
This is a Health insurance project (Built on Java Technology). In this project played a major role as java developer in release team and also helped production team to triage issues at critical times.
The release team activities are to develop a new module, improve the performance of the existing module, debugging the existing module and provide valuable technical and functional solution to the client to upgrade the application with the latest technologies. All these items would be delivered to the client on quarterly basis.
Worked almost in all stages of a release cycle starting from Requirement Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and UAT Support.

Role Description:
 As a release team member, worked as Application developer (Java/J2EE &VB macros) for five project releases.
 Also worked on production triages, root cause analysis and provided the best possible solution to the client.
 As a design team member, provided high level design documents, detailed level design documents, requirement traceability matrix and estimations for change requests and the problem incidents. This also involved impact analysis of the change request followed by designing the UI using HTML.
 Developed a new tool ('Multi Quote Underwriting') which increased productivity of the client and received client appreciation for the same.
 Also worked in unit testing and assembly testing (unit test cases, assembly test cases) and junit for multiple items in the releases.
 Communicated effectively with offshore business analysts for design clarifications and also ensured that tasks are completed within the estimate

 Gained functional knowledge in ‘Rating and Underwriting’ which is one of the key aspects of project.
 Ensured zero production and UAT defects in all the products delivered in the releases.
 Received client appreciation and recognition from the management for Multi Quote Underwriting tool.
 Transferred both the functional and technical knowledge to the team to avoid my dependency on the products developed.
