Ginger Rush

A Wellington based craft brewery was about to brew their first ginger beer and approached me to design the label. As the label is often the first point of contact a consumer has with the product, I thought it was important for it to illustrate not only the special qualities and ingredients of the ginger beer but also the craftsmanship and alchemist nature of brewing beer.

The illustrations on the label are inspired by the world of magic, potions and alchemy. I chose a foil effect so that the elements appeared to glow against the dark matte background, causing the product to further captivate and lure the consumer in from its position on the shelf.

The brewery was beyond delighted with their new label and the design was placed 4th in GABS Top 10 NZ Craft Beer Designs 2021.
