The discussion document provides information about the proposed new National Policy Statement for Indigenous Biodiversity (NPSIB) aimed at reversing the decline of indigenous biodiversity in New Zealand. Based on the information in this document, the public can have its say on the proposals.
This role involved pulling together information from a variety of sources and making sure that it is targeted to a variety of important stakeholders, including council planners, iwi groups, NGOs, private property owners, and community groups. In order to support the communication of complex technical information I worked with policy analysts and designers to create infographics on various policies.
I also suggested and worked on a design brief for an overarching consultation document infographic. I worked with councils and iwi to write case studies with accompanying photos so that readers of the consultation document could understand how the implementation of the proposals might be carried out
