Ruth, from Bullen Management needed a brand identity to launch her Project Management consultancy. The challenge was to create a brand that reflected her vibrant personality, her love of kayaking, and the rivers of Aotearoa, while conveying themes of connection and co-ordination. Challenge accepted!
Through the metaphor of a braided river, sinuous lines form the letters ‘B’ and ‘M’ creating an intricate multi-dimensional yet minimalist logo mark for Bullen Management’s new brand identity. Lines contrast and weave together conveying themes of co-ordination and connection while subtly referencing Ruth’s passion for kayaking New Zealand’s ‘awa’ / ‘rivers’.
The identity has been designed to work as a unit or as a lone notary symbol. The wordmark is set in a contemporary clean and highly legible sans serif that has an approachable trustworthy tone.
The business cards are duplexed using Colorplans Purple and Azure Blue. These colours represent waterways of Aotearoa and Ruth’s bubbly personality. The logo mark has been blind debossed into the card, creating the effect of carved river channels.
